Quarter

This blog has been a little bit dusty, don’t you think so?

*blows dust and dust off spider webs*

Don’t know how many of you reading this humble blog of mine but I do apologize for the lack of updates.

It has been a while.

The first quarter of 2013, a lot of events have taken place.

Boyfriend’s birthday in January , our team competed in Genovasi Challenge , and not long after that, we entered another competition which is called The Big Dre1m organized by 1Malaysia for Youth and TV3.

My boyfriend turns 28 this year and boy I was so happy to celebrate his happy day on the first month of the new year.

We’ve been through a lot getting to know each other and building this relationship from scratch. I wouldn’t trade that experience with anything else. I love how we nurture this relationship and learn about each through series of events and incidents. It’s not a pretty sight but we focus on the lessons learned.

Alhamdulillah, we made it this far and may the Almighty protects us till we reach our destination.

So in love with this man, I can’t tell you how much in love I am by just writing this post. I will write on the sappy hopeless romantic post later on, alright? :)

We are a couple but we do work together professionally alongside our friend, Yus who is basically our check and balance guy if we decided that we are too much to be handled on certain days. :)

Grateful to have Yus around and it has been for 2 projects already – Genovasi and The Big Dre1m.

We ended with just Honorable Mention for Genovasi and we didn’t stop there.

Beau and I did so many activities and projects together alongside our friend, Yus. And we can say that, The Big Dre1m is one of the biggest so far.

Why?

…because we didn’t know that it will involved all the cameras, directors, and this whole production crew going on. It’s a freaking reality show alright.

We sent in a couple of entries and by a couple I mean…8? So yeah, LOL. We had so many “dreams” for Malaysia ranging from education, welfare, development, environment etc. We pulled off 8 proposals during the weekend. A lot of coffee, arguments sprinkled with lots of late nights involved.

Alhamdulillah we got into the first round interview and fast enough, we were one of the 6 finalists. Fast forward, the whirlwind began.

*bites nails*

Then it hits us real hard, we have to be prepared for all the long days of production, shoots, interviews and preparing for our project especially.

We completed the show by finishing 2nd out of the 6 finalists. On behalf of the team, I would like to say thank you so much to all our friends, family, relatives, and really, to each and everyone of you who voted for us for the show. It really means a lot to us.

We had our meeting with the team from 1Malaysia for Youth and pretty soon, we will have something coming up for this project. Not going to reveal anything just yet until it’s official but I can say that, our dream will not be just a dream :)

Just watch out for our updates by liking our facebook page http://www.facebook.com/thepapercupchallenge.

Despite burning the midnight oils, weekend meetings, the chaos etc I enjoyed the whole process and very grateful to have a well-balanced, professional, understanding and skillful team members. Couldn’t have done it without these guys.

And of course, the love of my life. I don’t think we have some sort of a plan when we started this relationship to be more than just a couple but we made it. We are achieving our dreams and passion one by one, each and every day together and I couldn’t be more proud of us.

I’m so grateful for the level of understanding and tolerance that we have for each other. And I look forward to more of what the future installs for us.

And to our big dream, let’s make it a reality!

Till then.

Yours truly,

Lia.
